Agspand Pty Ltd was launched in Tasmania in 2016 by Directors Steve Sullings and Karen Enkelaar to create and supply products for healthy, profitable agriculture — from health derives profit.

Agspand manufactures and sells its FEEDCHAR® and PETCHAR® Registered Trademark mineral–charcoal dietary supplements for animals in Australia, Quality Certified Allowed Inputs for Organics Number SXC 19091.

These simple, safe and economical products support the Earth’s natural animal, soil and pasture carbon cycle. Sequestering carbon, nitrogen and water adds to living, healthy soils as part of biological, carbon and regenerative farming, which may assist longer-term agricultural property resilience.

Agspand’s Consultant Steve grew up on family farms in New South Wales and has 30 years’ experience working with many agricultural producers from all around Australia.

In his 17-year role as Regional Manager for Gallagher Australia, Steve helped to develop Electric Fencing and EID Systems for animal and land use management to raise pasture quality, and to record animal productivity and genetics, and product provenance and traceability. Being an expert on collecting data, Steve also helped with many information sessions on the NLIS Database and its importance to biosecurity.

Agspand’s Consultant Karen is an editor, writer and researcher on the nutrition and health of animals and soils. She is an Executive Board Member of the Australia and New Zealand Biochar Industry Group (ANZBIG), and in its Working Group for our own region’s Code of Practice for the Sustainable Production and Use of Biochar (2021), to help local manufacturers test and certify transparent, fit-for-purpose biochar, whether feed-grade, fertiliser-grade, or industry-grade.
